Sword Mech
The first mech I design was the sword mech and from what I learnt previously with the Knight Mecha was that body proportion and overall look of the armour. This time I want to establish it further with a mech that is meant to seem like it is more advanced in agility. So I add in a samurai aspect to fit with the knight aspect to, because I did not want to go for a opposite warrior type for the mech. I thought it would not fit the idea of my mech designs.
This is the frame of the sword mech where its proportions are different. Here I made the shoulder balls pop out from the sides a bit and have the inside elbows and knees to show the inner frame's work.
This is to show what the un-armoured mech would look like; inspired by the frame work of a couple of Gundam models to had built for a hobby.
The next is the draft of the armour that goes over the frame; here it covers up the arms, body and head. Referring back to the combined aspects of both knight and samurai, I insisted that the philosophy behind this design is that to connect myself as its pilot I made myself feel to be the master of all swords. For the helmet is where the focus is; showing the knight and samurai features into one.
I then went over with a flat colour palette that uses gold for its armour and having a little blue for the eyes, buckle and pony tail. The black is for the inner frame. With these colours I wanted to present the mech its meaning; having the gold shown as a prideful appearance where as the black can be shown to be strict and dangerous, but the blue what may give him good intentions and his overall power.
Next I added shadings to give the drawing a 3D look with the lightings to show off the metal shine for the mech. Especially adding in the shadows. This turned out good becuase I design the sword mech to seem like it is an elite mech in the attribute I wanted to focus on without overcomplicating the design. Similar to the Knight Mech I kept the idea that the sword mech should be agile but the proportions should be different and feel superior.

Power Mech
The next design was the power mech, the idea I had when desinging the mech is that it should be bulky looking. I thought that it should be like an athlete, mostly consisting of an American football player look; so my target was having big arms to associate with the strength attribute. This would also include how the armour can benefit the look of the mech as well.
As I made concepts for the power mech, I worked on the geometry of the armour to think on how it can work with the exaggerated proportions.
I kept experimenting with each design as I go along. However I felt as I was overcomplicating the designs, becuase I was developing mechanica parts to go with each design. Even thinking on the silhouettes I kept developing to get it right.
As I developed further I decided to take a step back and revise from the first concept; I used circular shapes to develop a design I felt was right. The final design does circular shapes, I see to be more a sports type of mech for games like wrestling and rugby.
I coloured the power mech with red scheme adding in green to allow vibrancy and character to the final design. As a result it may be similar to Baymax from 'Big Hero 6' (2014, Disney), but unlike Baymax whose design when in his armour consists of being round for friendliness. With this its more of a squared based design and its proportions are built up.
I am happy with this design on how turned out and it still keeps me going on developing on my ideas for my mecha design series.
Gun Mech
The mecha is the gun attribute, in this development I aimed to design as the polar opposite to the sword mech; in both shape and colour. My ideas for this was to make it look and feel tactical, and muck like developing the power mech I too overcomplicated this one.
Drawing the first two gun mech concepts I thought on using block shapes to make look like a humanoid tank. Although it did not seem to have the aesthetic I was looking at that point.
As I further developed the mech designs, I made them look out of character with the limbs and proportions mis-jointed and over used of shapes. What I needed to do next is refer to the human's body to see how I can improve and perfect for a better design.
The final design for the gun mech was a better drawing then the concepts I had designed. It was the gun mech I was looking for, something that has the tactical aspect to it. One feature I thought when designing the mech is where the cockpit should be; have it be in the chest. The head would be the main window system, where a camera is placed in, so letting it be programmed as the head allows to move when need to.
Now with the mech coloured in, I made a balance between the blue and silver colours to make it look futuristic.  I think my difficulty with
